It doesn't help to have Banderites so prominent among Ukr leadership nor him being out on the pedastal of a national hero
religiously blessed by their orthodox church. It is now part of their national conscience.

According to the poll, a positive attitude prevails in the western region of Ukraine (70%); in the central region of thestate, 27% of respondents consider his activity positive, 27% consider his activity negative and 27% consider his activity both positive and negative;[116] negative attitude prevails in the southern and eastern regions of Ukraine (54% and 48% of respondents consider his activity negative for Ukraine, respectively).[116] Following the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, where references to Bandera and "Banderites" featured in Russian propaganda, Bandera's favorability appeared to shoot up rapidly, with 74% of Ukrainians viewing him favorably, according to an April 2022 poll from a Ukrainian research organization.
