Poor old Macron got blindsided bigtime.. Biden cannot possibly commit troops to Ukraine it would be political suicide and Putin knows it

This is Syria Part 2.

Once Russia started moving hardware into Syria especially airforce and special forces, the west knew it could only watch as Bashaar Assad destroyed all opposition with impunity..

Ukraine is talking tough but they have no airforce.. Russia can quickly establish air dominance in the region and that makes any ground force sent by Ukraine cannon fodder.. Once Russia sets up air bases in Donetsk Luhansk it's all over .. period

Ukraine should back right off, keep all their hardware West, get the civilians out of the East and just keep the dialogue going to perhaps salvage a non NATO independent state in the west, with Russia friendly administration and stop buying arms from the west .. Russia can easily be the preferred supplier !

The slaughter if they choose to fight would be excruciatingly bad

The west will do nothing, they can't approach from the sea Russian navy sitting there ready, to approach from the air will be met by Russian airforce which is up there with the best in the world

So the west cannot establish any military strength without directly challenging Russia which is not going to happen

God help the Ukraine if Putin actually decides to pull the trigger
