It's just a colossal challenge. But we must be humanitarians and try to find solutions. There is no alternative than to accept these people who have experienced trauma.

The best thing would be for Russia to lose Putin, find peace, embrace trade again and re-establish economies and infrastructures. Currently Ukraine is being destroyed.

Only then a colossal rebuilding can start.

Obviously most people don't want to be refugees and they don't want to have to be thanking people constantly for helping them.

I can see what you're saying, and there is no choice. We can't wish this situation to be other than it is. We must deal with reality.

I'm not shutting you down, I'm just saying maybe don't focus on what you'd prefer, because we must find it in our hearts to help, and not expect constant gratitude. People in trauma are incapable of it. But in years to come they will look back and thank everyone in their hearts.
