China and Saudi Arabia already trade with each other. China is a massive net importer of energy, so it would be bizarre if they weren't. Announcing that Saudi is going to become a 'dialogue partner' of a multilateral talk-fest doesn't change the degree of trade between the two at all, in any way.

But I'm glad you have gone so far down the rabbit hole of trying to make a point that you have accepted Australia needs to diversify away from its trade with China, even if of course you're not sincere on that point.
