Demography is destiny and China's fertility rate is cooked. Countries that are already wealthy per capita (e.g. Japan, Europe) can manage a rapid ageing, but a middle income country like China that has one fifth Australia's per capita GDP, with no super, no adequate pension system, has no hope of managing it. China is rooted and wishing otherwise just cause you don't like Washington is pointless.
