remember the goals of the operation - beyond the so called "Liberation" of Luhansk and Donetsk the stated goal was not to occupy Ukraine. It was to demilitarise Ukraine. Crush its military forces and equipment. The west keeps sending more equipment and NATO "volunteers" (for now) but i think there is a limit to that sometime later this year. Once the Ukraine forces are depleted sufficiently to advance and restore the Luhansk and Donetsk then the so called "special military operation" will essentially be over as it will have achieved its objectives.

What comes next? Poland merger with West Ukraine making it part of NATO? Will they continue to fight militarily into 2024 launching offensives to "liberate" the lost territory? Who knows......
