Exactly, it was an ever changing territory not a country. Where as others could establish their countries, Ukraine couldnt, it was the former Soviet Union that actually outline the place as a state.
Perhaps stop believing the Ukraine lies.
After being granted as an independent state in 1991, they haven’t been able to hold their country together for not even 25yrs. They lost Crimea in 2014. Now they have lost a whole lot more.
