You studied physics, obviously not energy physics Australia cannot power its self via solar and wind, the costs are prohibitive, the land area required is enormous, and even then, the power can be produced at a fraction of the cost by coal, gas and nuclear. Which ever way you cut it doesnt have the density nor leverage and requires enormous resources in mining, fabrication and vast land area. Nothing green, clean or renewable.
