You're confirming that because the US did something terrible in Iraq, {Libya & Syria} so that Putin has free reign to do the same in Ukraine.

I think in Iraq it is more than "terrible", do you know how many Iraqi children died and no one took the blame? We then move on to Libya, both Sadam and Gadaffi died unceremoniously, more like a kangaroo court. Now in Syria the contradiction really got the turbo boost! Just like Azov changing patches, perceived US terrorist groups had a cosmetic change of name euphemistically called the Free Syrian Army. Somewhere in that mix Al-Quaida morph into Al-Nustra and a few more evolutive interim grouping before the most extreme brand ISIS stood proud having a free reign in Syria. One man's terror foe is another's friend. Ever heard of the Kurdish groups operating within a stone throw distance from Turkey? Friend or Foe? Because both Turkey and US are NATO members.

Should we digress back further to Nicaragua, Contras and Ollie North? I followed it quite closely at the time and the mistake of the humble "delete" button.

Frankly the mutual killings of RF-AFU does not directly affect me but the collateral damage does. I am referring to the commodity prices, energy and de-dollarisation for starters. I don't want us to have the same dilemma as Olaf but AUKUS has locked us in unfortunately. Kishore Mahbubani wrote an interesting essay for Oz foreign affairs specifically on this Sub deal. We are sleepwalking into what Germany is facing when Taiwan becomes the next Ukr heaven forbid.
