the one constant is change -don't expect that the current paradigm will exist forever , it won't !

China is big and growing and the bear , apart from the nukes is no match for the panda .
IMO , logically , russias interests lie in Euope ideally more than they do in Asia .
They exist on the same continent .... inevitably russia has to bow the knee to the senior partner or be a rival
Things could change markedly and quite soon ....(could)....

if putin disappered from the scene one way or another
if russia lost this war or came out of it with not enough
if the russian economy broke down

all potential triggers for massive changes in russia
probably unlikely soon
probably quite likely over time IMO
