Yes diamondjim, the Americans love empire building in terms of being exceptional world leaders in spreading democracy for the peace and prosperity of the planet.
In Ukraine's case the US are doing this by firstly expanding NATO against Russia and guiding the 2014 violent and illegal overthrow of Ukraine's democratically elected government, again at Russia's expense. Then using Ukraine's people to fight a proxy hot war against Russia resulting in massive casualties and the wrecking of Ukraine's infrastructure and economy. And while the US and its vassal states continue to fuel this destructive war the chances of nuclear catastrophe for the world increase.
Ukraine is the beneficiary of democracy, prosperity and peace?
Democracy: down the toilet
Prosperity: destroyed
Peace: indefinite war, (but peace for the US and its allies sleeping safe and warm while they fund Ukraine's destruction).
