Wars are unpredictable.

If it was so predictable, the "Mission Accomplished" in Iraq, would not turn out to be a "Mission Nightmare" for 10 plus years. And the US wouldn't need to waste some 8 Trillion dollars trying to pacify the enemies.

Similarly, Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan would not be another Operation Nightmare for 20 plus years, costing over 2 Trillion dollars.

No, War is Not like a video game. It is brutal and unpredictable - thus far, nearly 500k have died.

That's nothing to cheer about.
