Removing Putin from power won't end the war.

I beg to differ ...big time !
Since about the first three months of this war the chance of it serving russias interests disappeard and was always going to be a net loss - can elaborate on tha if you want .

a new leader would be one that didn't make that decision to invade and would be able to walk away from it .
The war continues primarily so putin doesn't lose even more face.
By continuing the war russia is digging the hole deeper - militarily , diplomatically and economically and risk for russia increases .
