The mid to long term plan in Europe will need to be to hang on to existing nuclear and coal power generators longer than had been planned, ramp up investment in LNG infrastructure to import LNG from Qatar, the US and Australia, invest in appropriate levels of renewables, all to be able to give Russia the permanent bird on their gas.
