What is apparent from 2019 is that Zelenskyy was elected on a platform of peace and it is now apparent he made not one such attempt. I've been told by others supporting this madness that, when the incumbent president was not meeting the expectations of the people, such an about-face deserved a Soros sponsored 2014 overthrow of the government and, still further, this represented true democracy in action.
Didn't happen in 2019/20 when Zelenskyy went off script, obviously "democracy" in Ukraine is a bit more adhoc than it is elsewhere.
"and accede to Putin's unrealistic and unreasonable demands."
And your expectation is a war to the end. However you are unable to say what the "end" will look like, nor indeed will you define when a point has been reached in the war where the death and suffering should be halted and something else should be negotiated. In your world, as far as I can tell, you could witness this war spread into western Europe, see millions die and, from there, then escalate to the rest of the world. All this could happen and you'd still be here offering nothing more than "Putin is a bad man".
