Well given your financial status I wouldn't advise you to send your pension money over to Ukraine, it is a losing cause. That being said I know you are supporting them for emotional reasons and will keep doing what you are doing regardless of logic, so hopefully that ends up well for you and your conscience.
*BTW just because you think you are doing "the right thing" doesn't mean you are. Many bipolar and schizophrenic people think they are doing "gods work" when it turns out they just cannot perceive reality correctly.
