Ukraine has started registering ships willing to use the newly established "humanitarian corridor" in the Black Sea, aiming to facilitate safe shipping routes.
This response comes after cargo vessels were stranded in Ukrainian ports following Russia's invasion on 24 February last year. The corridor is a potential solution to Russia's de facto blockade, particularly after Moscow reneged on an agreement to permit Kyiv's grain exports.
