Did you NOT read the referendum of Crimea of 1991???

They voted to be Free of Ukraine, just like Ukraine voted to be free of the USSR.

The people of Crimea were the ones who were occupied, abused and suppressed by the "Evil", "Nazi", "Fascist" Gov in Kiev. The Fascist Ukrainian Gov arrested, tortured and jailed the duly elected President of Crimea - as well as the elected parliamentarian of Crimea.

So the people of Crimea had lived under the Dictatorship of Ukraine from 1991 to 2014, when they were "Liberated" from tyranny and fascism of Kiev.
