It looks like Ukraine are content to attrit the Russian invaders until June 2024, which is the right move. I didn't pin great hopes on a massive counter offensive because to me it looks like the White House and Europe are content to keep this thing bubbling along for the next 8 years. Many Ukrainians and Russians will die, but that is entirely on Putin and his delusions of grandeur.

The smart thing for Putin to do would be to withdraw from Ukraine to the pre 2014 borders and pray that the sanctions are cancelled. Otherwise, this will break the back of the Russian Federation. Biden is laughing at how incompetent the current mob in the Kremlin have been. They've delivered Ukraine, Sweden and Finland to NATO on a silver platter.
