What are you even talking about? You even paying attention? I was CONTRASTING the two situations. Croatia, a homegrown independence movement where NO FOREIGN FORCE entered Croatia at any stage. Croatia alone demanded independence, Croatia alone fought for it. Croatia alone got it. CONTRAST that with Ukraine where prior to Putin’s 2014 invasion there were no calls for independence, there was mo war, but then suddenly after Putins troops enter and take control there was war and all the “calls for independence”. How convenient! Totallt unrelated of course! Beyond war, there’s virtually no similarities between the two situations. Now you go off on your legal whatever journey you’re on, you’re having a conversation on you’re own there.

In April 2014 after the coup separatists in the oblasts of Donetsk and Lugansk seized government buildings and declared the new republics independent states. They were russian speaking, pro russian and supported by russia. There was not an invasion by the russian army until 2022.
