they say truth is the first casualty of war but russia make a point of telling outright porkies that only make them look silly/ dishonest when they are proved untrue .....started with ...." we aren't going to invade" and went from there

I always get the feeling most of the russian lies are for domestic consumption - the west have more access to a variety of media sources that russians don't have so telling obvious lies would be counter productive for Ukraine and her allies wheres independant and reliable media don't exist at all in Moscow
