1) Shoulda woulda coulda. Stoltenberg admitted that Russia invaded Ukraine over fears of NATO expansion. No NATO = no invasion
2) If CIA and other 3 letter agencies didn't contribute to the dismantlement of USSR, there would have been no such country as Ukraine
3) If Ukraine didn't choose to ignore Russia's security and geopolitical interests in the region by attempting to align itself with NATO, none of this would have happened. Besides, US and some EU countries dictate their will to dozens of countries all over the globe. Why can't Russia do the same?
Your twisting my words and arriving to a deluded conclusion. Nobody asked Ukraine to give up their country. All that the Russian government asked Ukraine to do is not to align itself with NATO. Easy-peasy. If I was a Ukrainian president and had to choose between the two - aligning myself with NATO, or plunging your country into a pit of chaos, death and destruction, I would have chosen the former. Especially considering that conflict in Georgia, which happened over EXACTLY the same thing - NATO expansion ambitions.
But hey, that's just me.
