The west knew of Putin's intentions because he's been openly telling them for months, probably fair to say years, ever since the US installed the current regime in 2014!
It's not just Putin who's a psychopath, the whole political class are, and that is why the situation in the Ukraine is exactly as it is now!
Luckily JFK was president in 1962, if it was any of these current psychopaths none of us would be here now!
