Russia a peer nation of the West?

    It's a pipsqueak.

Literally zero chance that a comprise on US Military support to both Israel and the Ukraine and border control won't be reached.

its a bit like the debt ceiling increase which the professor and others have lathered themselves up ready to let go when the US goes bankrupt, only to have it go down like a deflated balloon when the debt ceiling gets extended (what is it now, like 78 times).

Keep in mind its the procedural vote on the measure that is being debated with the vote being 49 to 51 with the Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer voting “no” for procedural reasons that will allow him to bring up the measure again.

So they currently have 50 rusted on supporters towards the necessary 60 votes (gee Schumer must wish he was Xi or Poots sometimes, so he could put his little dictator hat on and do whatever he wishes).

A decent chunk of Republicans consider border control a more contentious issue than supporting Ukraine, but there is still a solid 50% plus of Republicans that support the Ukraine assistance.

And a sizable majority the Democrats are strongly in favour of the Ukraine support as evidenced by “If I have to be here on f—ing Christmas Day, I’ll be here,” Democratic Sen. Jon Tester of Montana told reporters ahead of the failed vote, explaining the bill was too important not to reach a deal that he stressed would require compromise on both sides".

    Ain't the US ever grande!

Certainly the leader of Nato, which is just so falling apart, just as Poots predicted:
