I'm sure Ukraine will eventually have peace, but only after Russia annexes another 20% and ensures it is a basket case with no significant power or influence.

In other words I think the Ukraine and the world would be a better place if the remnants of Ukraine were not just a neutral state but a completely demilitarised one with a weak enough economy and manufacturing industrial base to make it impossible to build up any military capability, even if it wanted to, in the foreseeable future.

Sort of like a demilitarised zone between NATO countries and Russia.

This would not mean that it could not have a thriving agricultural sector.
