IN the larger scheme of things regarding the SMO its rather inconsequential!
Yes the loss of the ship is a sting for the Russians and is without doubt a rather successful operation from a propaganda standpoint.
The attack on the ship would have taken substantial planning with significant ISR help from the US.
The same could be said for the latest Russian missile attack, it would have taken substantial planning and logistics, so it is hardly a retaliatory strike for the loss of the ship!
