As things stand, Ukraine is rushing reserve troops east and west depending where the serious action is. I am amazed Russia does not open a northern front to make that move a lot more complicated. They have over 600,000 troops now fighting in Ukraine,
Calling up grannys and teenagers is apparently being discussed. Sounds a bit like the final days of Nazi Germany.It should not be any surprise the Ukraine people are tough opponents, they are the same people as Russians and defending their homeland.
Remember how Russians held off a Nazi siege of Leningrad (Now St Petersburg) and never surrendered, or when they held just a narrow beach head on the Volga river of Stalingrad (now Volgograd ) and eventually defeated the 330,000 strong Von Paulus army in a battle that broke the back of the German army, long before D Day. They were Germany's finest troops. These slavic Christians don't give up, it is just a pity they are fighting and dying for the cowardly and incredibly stupid collective west.
Obviously Russia is going to win this IMO. It is just a case of what a win looks like.
