what I can tell for certain is that neither the GDP or PPP of russia at present are knowable at present so the argument is pointless .

Certainly both diminshed by the war - less gas being sold and produced ....less markets for oil and russia cut production in an attempt to stimulate price .....weapons sales cancelled by some countries and anyway russia needs them all for Ukraine .....but russia are not going to supply any data for that demise ....would be against theor interests to do so ...and besides .......russia are never honest about anything !

but both GDP nad PPP attempt to measure the size of an economy not it's health .....they don't refect balance of payments or productivity

we get some indicators of the latter by indicators russia is unable to hide .....the rouble weakensss and the high interest rates
