"Russia's response to Macron's comments was instantaneous, announcing on Tuesday night that Paris would deliver 40 long-range Scalp missiles and hundreds of bombs to Kiev.

Almost simultaneously, the Russian army was bombing a base of foreign mercenaries in Kharkiv, the majority of whom were French.

Moscow's announcement raises many questions. This is the first time he has spoken ofa "large core of French mercenaries".Were they really mercenaries?Or officers and soldiers of the French Army who organized the defense of the city?

Over 60 dead mercenaries – They were mostly French

"On the evening of January 16, the Russian Armed Forces carried out a high-precision strike on the temporary deployment point of foreign fighters in the city of Kharkiv, the core of which were French mercenaries.

The strike completely destroyed the building in which the mercenaries were located.

More than 60 fighters were killed, more than 20 were taken to medical institutions,"the Russian statement said.

Earlier the Ukrainian authorities became entangled in their lies: the State Emergency Service said the strike hit an "inactive medical center" and the Ministry of Health reported 8 injured.

According to information, this is the private clinic "Ashera", which housed the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As it turns out, the building was also used by foreign mercenaries.

Second round of attacks in Kharkiv

Ukrainian sources published footage in which one can see the consequences of Russian missile and drone attacks on military targets in Kharkiv. The attacks took place in the western and central parts of the city.

In addition, the building of a Kharkiv University was hit, on the premises of which the command of the Ukrainian army placed foreign mercenaries and members of nationalist formations.

According to information coming from various sources, at least a hundred Kiev soldiers, mainly members of nationalist formations, as well as employees of the military registration and conscription office, were killed as a result of Russian attacks.

We recall that on the 11th of the month, Russia bombed a hotel in Kharkiv which according to Moscow was a base of the Ukrainian armed forces.

"Thirteen people were injured.Among them two journalists of Turkish media: a Turkish citizen and a Georgian citizen,"the Ukrainian prosecutor's office said on Telegram, clarifying that ten people "are hospitalized."

According to Oleh Sinekhubov, the governor of Kharkiv, at around 22:30 (local time and Greek time) two Russian S-300 missiles hit the hotel, which is located in the Kyiv district, while 30 civilians were inside it.Sinekhubov noted that a 35-year-old man is seriously injured.Among the remaining injured are three men aged 31 to 38 and seven women aged 23 to 71, he continued."
