For months they sent their troops on suicide missions across the Dnieper all under the watchful eye of the Russians who just slaughtered them with artillery and drones. Western media couldn't get enough of the Ukrainians slaughtering thousands of Russian forces in the area which was all BS, they're now retreating as they've run out of Ukrainian soldiers willing to go on suicide missions in rubber duckys with a yammy on the back like these mislead dupes below.
