IMO in your quest for the TRUTH about this war, you are confusing
Factoids for Facts :

Norman Mailer coined the term 'factoid"


We all accept the adage that "the first casualty of war is the truth" yet
we continuously cite news articles that are advertently or inadvertently
"victims" of the war adage.

And IMO due to the plethora of social media reports , this Ukrainian war
IMO, has multiplied "factoids" compared to say the Vietnam War etc.

Add to that the Straw Man" arguments and the quest for the TRUTH
is more difficult, again IMO.

So an opinion piece in the media is repeated over and over again
and there you have it....factoid after factoid..

Even the USA has its war secrets which conflict with the public
announcements during wartime. Wikileaks is evidence of that.

The western MSM told us during the Vietnam and M/E wars
that the US were winning with minor skirmishes given as ongoing
examples (does this sound familiar re the cut/pastes on this thread? )
yet at the end, the US had to admit defeat suddenly (remember the
panic exits from Vietnam & Afghanistan)

So in summary, if this war is anything like US wars of the past, then we''ll
simply have to wait until its over and the historians give us the TRUTH.
