He has to be given a back door out or he will blow it up as a rational option.
He's taking calculated risks constantly that's who he is. He's skilled at the art of blackmail as all thugs are.
He must know by now he cannot win this militarily, or if he does it will be dust and rubble and that Europe and US are against him.
The sanctions will bite even harder when they ban microchips and certain circuits, which are essential for Russian missiles and their war machine.
