    No doubt. Western co's have already been buying up Ukrainian agricultural land like crazy (through various funds and obscure schemes).

    The longer this war continues, the longer the US oil/gas sector gets to enjoy their great profits, just as they have been in the past two years.
    And then there's the US/EU military industrial complex of course.

    Then there's the whole 200-billion-dollar "aid" thing too. That money's not free. I skimmed through an article the other day, which mentioned the fact that Ukraine now OWES it's helpers around 4 bn in interest. And how are they going to pay that off, considering their budget for 2024 is in deficit by around 40bn?

    ...

    Don't forget that the collective West is holding 300 billion of Russia's reserves.

    This may be a simplistic view, but it would probably be in Russia's interests to 'take' as many of Blackrock's/Vanguard's/JPMorgan's/Monsanto's newly acquire Ukrainian goodies as possible. Get more leverage in the future negotiations.
