Once the Ukrainian lines are broken, things will go quickly from there.

But Zelensky has a chance to avoid this total loss. He can start negotiating. While there's a "stalemate".
Because if he does not, that will mean there will be hundreds of thousands more deaths and serious injuries on Ukrainian side. More loss of territory. More damage to the economy.
