Well, if that is the definition being used you are correct. I consider 'storm' to mean essentially a forceful attack.
Cambridge English dictionary gives a different definition which is how I understood the update:
to attack a place or building by entering suddenly in great numbers:The fortress was stormed by hundreds of soldiers.
It is also telling that, given Weeb's update trying to estimate when Krynky would be taken, his use of 'storm' was not talking about the actual capture and seems to follow the definition as above.
