You're missing the most imposrtant point of Putin's GOP lackeys creating an ammo shortage for Ukraine being the only reason Putin's 2nd (rate) army of the world has been able to advance.
Despite the GOP's betrayal and Ukraines low ammo the Russian advance is still coming at a phenomenal rate of loss in both men and material. A loss that far outweighs the capture of the town.
