That's the whole point. They don't want to fight.
Hiding from Russian artillery strikes in trenches, running away from Russian FPV drones, retreating from positions knee-deep in mud while FAB's and missiles are exploding all around... Too risky.
It's much more easier (and safer) to sit in front of a monitor for 9-12 hours a day, making up numbers and narratives pretending like you're winning.
