too simple .....doesn't account for countries increasing supply to fill the gap in the market ...as Argentina are ...and the US
also ....the devil is in the detail of how much can be gained thrugh some price increse against how much is lost through loss of markets
the premise that whatever happens russia can't lose out is overly simplistic and false but looking forward , generally expectations are for a weakening world economy implying less demand for oil and possibly a glut ....we've already seen a cuple of attempts by OPEC to simulate price by reducing production .
russia is not financing this war apart from debt and robbing their future fund .
