they could have supplied Ukraine with all their toys from Day 1, when Russia only had around 150-180k troops committed.
The West is drip-feeding Ukraine with just enough weapons for them not to get rolled-over too quickly. They don't want Ukraine to win. That's a fact. What they want to do is to bleed Russia for as long as they can afford to. At the expense of Ukraine.
That's not working out too well for neither Ukraine nor the West. Because according to Washington Post, Bizness Insider and other mass media outlets, newly-acquired Russian territories contain around 12 trillion dollars worth of natural resources. Oil, gas, coal, lithium, rare metals and so on. Plus all the agricultural land (some of the most fertile agricultural land in all of Ukraine).
