The evacuation of women and children from the war zone in 2022
went both ways; some westward (Ukrainian speaking refugees) and some
eastward (Russian speaking refugees)

IMO one has to be fair about this rather than falling for propaganda
like tangs and Andy.

Russia's offering of Russian citizenship to Russian speaking residents
was simply a preamble to its annexation of the 4 SE Oblasts . Those
who didn't take up the offer either fled or were considered hostile to
Russia ....a sort of ethnic cleansing.

This strategy by Russia now makes democratic elections in the contested
region virtually impossible because of the defacto "ethnic cleansing " .

I guess mistakes have been made by both sides but when it comes to war
its "might" that wins...not "right".

The Normans (now Poms) conqested Ireland in 1169 and despite 850 years
of the Paddies crying foul with moral right on their side, the Poms still own 20% of the country!

Will the Russian Federation last 850 years?....who knows...but it's likely to last
longer than our lifetimes by the way things are going at present.
