1. forget "me" ....it's the Ukrainians must make those decisions , the west should support them in any choices they make
2. how realistic depends on the west ....US need to support again ...OR Europe need to double support - the latter a big call I know - the former , not so much
3.how many losses are russia prepared to tolerate ? they aren't defending their homeland , much less motivated


the current situation not normal in that Ukraine are terribly short of shells , aren't getting ANY US support AND russia are using that opp and the lead in to the election to throw everything they have at Ukraine ....has cost a lot in men , artillery , vehicles and ships and planes .

Europe had promised 1 million shells last year .....and managed only about 300,000 ....but a supply of 800,000 has been sourced apparently to be purchsed from some unamed country .

No doubt russia has the advantage but even now with ideal conditions for them , they aren't moving fast and only at great cost .


lots of things to factor in ....not the least of which is that this war is hard to win offensively now and favours the defenders .....will be hard for either side to change that .
