    IMO, this Ukrainian War has simply accelerated the inevitable;
    that is with the economic rise of China, the US will be compelled
    to step back economically from being the global economic hedgemon
    and compromise on being the leader of the West (predominantly the G7)
    while China and the BRICS carve out an economic trading block(s)
    immune to US economic sanctions.

    (Russia has been already comprehensively Sanctioned with the US
    hacking away at China so the 'modus operandi" is already known!)

    This simply leaves Aus as being "simple Simon in the middle" dependant
    on China economically and dependant on the USA for National Security.
    And dont kid yourselves, sooner rather than later we'll be compelled to
    go "all in" and take one side or the other.....the current fence sitting is cogglesome
    to say the least and early indicators are that we're willing to sacrifice big bucks for
    a wink and a nod from Uncle Sam re our National Security.......say no more....say no more!!!
