The outcome of the war in Ukraine will be decided this spring and summer, the EU's foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, has said this evening after holding meetings in Washington.
Calling for sustained support for Ukraine amid doubts over continuing US military aid to Kyiv, Mr Borrell told reporters Ukraine could not wait until the results of the US presidential election in November.
Many analysts are expecting a major Russian offensive this summer.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy has also said that Russia is preparing a new offensive against Ukraine, starting in late May or summer.

I'm not sure that is the case ......but timing is critical ....IMO three things to watch from Ukraines POV,
1.F-16 arrival time ....only 6 initially , but will make a difference in deterring russ aircraft
2.the 800,000 shells being delivered about the same time - together with regular shell supply should allow Ukraine to stop the rationing of targets
3. Seems at present Johnson in congress is bowing to the inevitable and trying to mitigate and delay the arms bill rather than oppose it now - this will be a big boost for Ukraine and will happen ....just how soon but likely the first of the three to bite .
