Vigil for Ukrainian prisoners of war after report finds evidence of torture

It comes a day after the UN-backed Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine released its latest report.

The report accuses Russia of violating human rights in its treatment of Ukrainian prisoners of war and civilians.

Covering the period from April 2023 to March this year, it draws on 16 visits to Ukraine and interviews with 816 people.

Commission chair Erik Mose said: "Victims' accounts disclose relentless, brutal treatment inflicting severe pain and suffering during prolonged detention with blatant disregard for human dignity.

"This has led to long-lasting physical and mental trauma."

Russia had not commented on the report, despite being sent copies, he said.

.....the jury is in ...the verdict ....the russ really are bastards
