If Ukrainians wanted to keep their land, perhaps they shouldn't have illegally overthrown a democratically elected government, and just waited for the next elections to replace the president. But then again, how could they wait when US meddled in Ukrainian internal affairs and catalysed a chain of events that led to the escalation of the conflict?

Yep. Money for blood. US are making plenty. EU are making plenty. They have actually secured quite a nice income stream for the next few decades, which is how long it will take Ukraine to repay all their "aid" (debts).
