German leader Olaf Scholz will call on countries to step up their aid efforts for Ukraine at a European Union summit this week, a government representative has said.
The European Investment Bank should also play a greater role in financing the defence sector, they added.
Yesterday, Berlin announced its latest round of funding for Ukraine will total €500m (£426m) and will include 10,000 rounds of ammunition.
