The problem is if this drags on a bit Putin will go all out to save face IMO.
A defeat in the Ukraine would lead to his demise IMO.
Does Nato and the US wait and see or do they get actively involved?
Would Russia dare to sink a Nato/US war ship if they started bombarding Russian positions? Or shoot down Nato/US aircraft?
Imho that would bring the wrath of Nato in its entirety along with the US and Russia would finally get the punch in the face they deserve for firstly invading Crimea and then invading Ukraine.
I understand Russia is a bit scetchy on Ukraine joining NATO but given there are already a few countries right next door that are in Nato, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia I can't see Russia's argument.
The genie is out of the box atm. Can it be put back?
I hope so as soon as possible......but that will require will from the US and Nato and so far there has been very little.
