I probably understand the US better than you , mate, having
had 2 working stints there . IMO its a mixed bag with some
great aspects and others far from being good.

    IMO your binary position..good/bad..right/wrong ...love/hate
is not alone childish , but it gives you a blinkered perspective
on the world and specifically on this Ukrainian War.

This binary perspective is fundamentally no different to the
religious devides between Muslims & Jews. Catholics & Protestants etc
where the bigots on either side of the divide tag those who are neutral
as being pro the other side ......no shades of grey...."either you are
with us or 'agin" us" as GW Bush said in the early aftermath of 9/11.

My view on this war is that it could have been avoided as it had been
up to and including 2013 and judging by the outcome since then, the
Ukraine and its people had been much better off pre-2013 than they are
now or likely will be into the foreseeable future and their sacrifice expected
from them since 2014 by the West and specifically the USA has been
simply too much . And by the look of things, that's going to be much worse
    before its much better.

IMO, like the Vietnam, Iraq & Afghan wars, this war is not winnable by the US
short of a MAD WW3 and, to a reasonable person, such a risk is absurd.

So, IMO , the solution will likely be:
    -ceasefire
    -negotiated settlement

And the sooner the better for the people of the Ukraine.

I'm aware that some who inadvertently subscribe to the "Death Cult"
will advocate an escalation of this war up to and including the use of nuclear weapons
but fortunately for humanity, those are a rabble few.
