    such an assessment of your enemy's leader suggests you've totally painted yourself into a corner and you would never try to negotiate a peace deal.

    if that is the case, you'd be prepared to see Ukraine completely and utterly destroyed so you can cling desperately to your misinformed opinion and paranoia.

    and here's me thinking you are on Ukraine's side.

    Russia's invasion came after any number of warnings by Putin and other Russian leaders leading up to it and a hot war with endless provocation that began in 2014.

    Russia's big mistake was believing western leaders saying around 1990 that NATO wouldn't move one inch east.

    have you noticed how clever Russia is though to show what is undoubtedly their unbridled aggression: they have carefully positioned their national borders in close proximity to the hundreds of NATO military bases that encircle their western and southwestern borders.

    very canny the Russians, very canny. How did they know about all the NATO bases?
