Hi Nolm, evidence of a “US coup” is IMO quite off the mark as much of the evidence quoted to explain a US coup is not tangible or influential to the many events that took place over many months resulting in a change of the Ukrainian government.

The majority of the poor decisions, leading to Yanukovych’s departure, were those made by Yanukovych himself.

I have yet to see tangible, hard evidence of actions taken by the US that resulted in Yanukovych’s removal from power. A tapped phone call of Nuland discussing who their pick for PM would be, and it not coming to fruition, is not quite so significant in relation to Yanukovych ditching an EU association agreement at the 11th hour despite promising almost a year to sign it, sparking the protests and the other events that Nuland was discussing in her tapped phone call.

The change in government in Ukraine in 2014 comes down to a bad decision by Yanukocych (by bad I mean a decision made against the will of a majority of the population), made worse by decisions made by Yanukovych to compensate for that first bad decision followed by decisions made by a legislative body happy to see him run to Russia. This situation IMO simply does not fit the mould of a coup.
